Even at my advanced age, I am open to new sexual experiments and have recently thought about electric sex but I am curious as to what advantage PES electrodes have over other types or brands such as just a TENS box, the RAMBA brand or EROSTEK or FOLSUM ELECTRIC brands. Also, can you elaborate more on the difference between the urethral effects of the Deep Throat electrode and using a Sprakler in uretharl insertion. Thank you.

A run-down of the basic power sources and the differences:

1) TENS & EMS units: not designed for sexual stimulation. TENS are intended to mask pain by numbing out your nerve endings so the frequencies are usually not enough for most people to achieve sexual satisfaction. Another issue is that they tend to be more biting in sensation and can numb out the nerves pretty quickly. Some do find them pleasureable but the majority find that they need more. EMS units are very limited in their frequency and variety of sensation so very rarely are they useful for sexual stimulation.

2) Rimba: I believe that their base unit is merely a relabled TENS unit. They have released a digital unit but I do not know if they actually designed this themselves or are relabeling a higher end TENS or EMS.

3) Erostek: They make digital units. I won't deny that they have created a good product. I feel they are a little complex for beginners and I think that there are those who give up on EES because they do not instantly acheive success with these units. Our unit and the Erostek units are not the same and comparing them as such is not a fair comparison. Our unit is analog. The primary difference between analog and digital is that analog allows instant adjustment and complete control where digital allows limited adjustment and runs programs, so allows less control.

4) Folsom: Probably the closest to our power box, is their PSG-202. Contrary to popular opinion they are not the same. The Folsom unit does not have the fine frequency dial on the side of the unit and the sensations are not as smooth with the Folsom unit. I have been told this by people who have used both units. As for their PSG-Max, even they admit this unit is definitely more for those into pain. Not a unit that I have heard a lot of good feedback on.

As for electrodes, this will be a more general rundown of our pluses:

1) Safety. We do a lot of research and testing before releasing any electrodes. Also, we send explicit instructions with our products to help insure this safety.

2) Purpose. We create all our electrodes for a specific purpose and erogenous zone. It isn't a matter of merely slapping some wires on a conductive item and offering it as an electrode. We actually look at what the electrode will do.

3) Effectiveness. Because we pay attention to what the electrode is meant to do, the effectiveness of that electrode is increased because it offers the correct surface area needed or whatever other factor that needs to be considered.

4) Quality. We work very hard to ensure that every product meets the same standards.

5) Orginality. We don't copy. We work very hard to be innovators in this market not copycats.

Now, for the Deep Throat vs the Sparklers. That is a matter of choice. Because the Sparkler is a completely conductive length of tubing, the stimulation is spread along the length. When fully inserted, it may not be as intense as the Deep Throat. One of the basic principles of EES is the size of the contact area. So the Slim Jim and Big Jim both have short conductive lengths on a long insert. Where the entire insert is conductive on the Sparkler. So when inserted fully, the Slim Jim or Fat Jim will offer a focused stim deep inside, where the Sparkler spreads that stimulation the entire length of the shaft. I hope that makes sense. They really do offer a different sensation.

I hope this 'little' write up helps. ;)

I'd love to hear other members opinions on units that they have tried.

Later!

Thank you Anna for the infromation. As soon as I make up my mind on which electrodes to try first, I am leaning towards the sparkler and/or one of the Deep Throats, and/or an anal electrode (again not sure which one), and the availability of power boxes, I intend to order. The best bet would probably be one of the beginner specials. Thanks again.

Hello Anna,

I've recently purchased a Deep Throat Big Jim and have had it for a little over one week. I've also purchased a Deep Throat Slim Jim and I can tell you that the difference in sensations between the two is amazing. It could be because of my particular anatomy, but the Slim Jim feels inadequate, while the Big Jim is a sensation "bomb". After practicing carefully for a week, I had my first HFO yesterday and the experience was explosively remarkable. I was using a b-polar acrylic butt plug along with the Big Jim during my session and I must say that if my first HFO experience was any indication of what is to "come", the money I've spent so far was a bargain. I'm using an ET 312B as my power source which is outstanding as well. Hopefully this information will provide some insight to this gentleman as per what might happen for him.

Thanks Evan but what company make your power box? I didn't realize that the electrodes were compatable between companies.

Evan is using an Erostek box. It is a digital unit. Where the PES unit is analog. While we don't usually encourage using our Electrodes with other companies' power sources, there are those who do. We do recommend that if you do use another power source, to make sure to at least get our leads so you can be sure your Electrodes have a proper connection and also because some of the leads other companies sell may damage our Electrodes and with some Electrodes, they may not work at all.

Thank you Anna for answering correctly about my Erostek. I realize that this is not the proper forum for discussing products merchandised by other companies, but I chose this unit because of it's versatility/variety and the current unavailability of other desirable units. Also I researched compatibility of PES electrodes with the ET 312B and found that they work well together as long as I had proper leads. That being said, I can attest that the PES electrodes perform as advertised with a competitive power bow as long as you've covered all of the necessary set-up/configuration issues.
