In the case of the Coronal ring with the urethral amplifier, can the adjustable amplifier be rotated 180 degrees, so that it does not penetrate the urethra, if so desired?

The amplifier can be rotated but you have to keep in mind that the gold ball on that anchors the amplifier is only insulated on the side for insertion. You will need to be very cautious of that ball if you rotate the amplifier out of the way.

To be honest, you'd be better off simply getting the Basic and the Amplifier. That way you can play with no worry about the ball when you don't want the insertion and when you want the insertion you can simply switch Coronas.

The reason you have to watch out for the ball is because metals have a lower resistance than the conductive silicone and so levels you might be able to take when using it as a urethral insert will be different than what you can take when the ball is in contact (when you don't use the insert). You will want lots of lube. Do not use it over the urethral opening. And simply pay attention cuz that little ball can concentrate the stimulation in such a way that a hot spot is possible.

I hope this helps!

I own a corona ring with urethra stimulator, and have used it both ways.

My personal exp. is the insertable part is way too small in diameter (at least for me) and seemed to cause "hot spots" I normally rotate this out and have not experienced any problems. If you are new to urethral penetration, the diameter may be well suited to you..

I suppose we should think about an 'advanced' corona with urethral for those of you who prefer the size of the Big Jim or Big Boy.

The diameter of the insert on the corona is the 1/8", same diameter as the Slim Jim and the original Sparkler.

Anna,

I find the 1/8" insert a little less comfortable than the 1/4" Big Jim and Big Boy. I don't find that the 1/8" insert creates hot spots. It's just less comfortable to me than a snugger fitting insert.

A corona electrode with a "Big" amplifier would be something I'd purchase. Though I could probably setup the Deep Throat "Big Jim" to contact the same areas, the portion of the urethral insert on the Big Jim that would be left dangling might be a little uncomfortable.
