Click on 'User CP' above.

Then click on 'Edit Avatar'.

Then you have three choices, the last one is 'Use Custom Avatar'.

You can either provide a link to it or browse your computer to upload it. It can be no larger than 80x80 pixels or 19.5KB (whichever is smaller).

Click on 'Save Changes' and you're done!

I also would like to upload an avatar but like hej, I do not see an 'upload custom avatar' choice.

Okay, I figured out the issue. The custom avatar option is not available to anyone except the moderators at this time. I'll talk to my web guy and see if he'll change the settings. We are working on the site move so it may be a moot point as we can always add this option on the new site instead of changing the old settings.

I am excited :) It feels more personal to talk to someone with a custom photo, rather than a premade/selected avatar :)

I think it might not be updated for personal avatars until after we move the site to its new server and update the discussion forum's software. Be patient. We'll get it done soon.

Firstly you need to go to User CP, which can be found at the left side of the grey bar above. Then under control panel on the left, is Edit avatar. Here you can select a web location such as Photobucket or at the bottom you can browse your computer and upload one. Either way the image must be 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB whichever is smaller.
