I was considering buying one of the coronal stimulators from this website but upon seeing the only postage option was $87 I decided against it. Is there not another shipping service the shop could use? A couple of years ago I had a £200 sony psp delivered from Hong kong for £5 in 3 days, why on earth is the postage here so expensive?

You should have the option of postal service on the shipping options. The shipping option we prefer to use for international packages usually starts in the $30 range and goes up from there depending on weight and dimensions.

You can also place your order with the UPS charges but request a less expensive shipping option. If it is a good sized package it will still run about $60 or more. We don't charge your card until we process the order, so we can make adjustments manually to the amount you are charged. And if you make the request in the special instructions box, we will definitely adjust it for you. Please keep in mind that standard postage rates for one company are not the same for another company. There is a handling charge. And some companies have special deals with their postage due to volume. While we ship a lot, we certainly aren't on par with a company like Amazon in terms of shipping volume.

I hope this helps. We are working on getting the rates to work better for the international customers but UPS is much more expensive for overseas so it is usually best to choose post as your shipping option or to request it in the special instructions.

Global Express Guaranteed is the USPS option. That is the least expensive shipping option we give for overseas shipping for tracking purposes.

So what exactly do I need to put in the special instructions box to get the $30 shipping? It is insured airmail right?

You would simply enter a request for it in the special instructions box on the shipping page. You are not charged until we see the order so you won't be charged for the more expensive shipping.
