Can anyone please un-confuse me regarding lubrication of these products. I am a complete novice to this 'stimming' game and have just purchased the Corona "Cockhead" Stimulator with Urethral Amplifier and Tubular Base Ring. Should they be lubricated before fitting or after??
I have read the lubrication section on the site but still a little unsure.
Any replies from you experts would be appreciated. Thanks.
With any of our products you can always use Olive Oil. This does not increase conductivity but it doesn't dry up and gives a smooth sensation.
To enhance the conductivity, we recommend ElectroLube which is a water based lube with additional ingredients that make it even more conductive.
You can also use Surgilube or KY or any other water-based lubricants.
We strongly warn against using silicone based lubricants such as Eros Bodyglide, Platinum Wet, or any of the other silicone based lubes that have come on the market recently as silicone is an insulator and with any silicone electrode (which is what all the black conductive electrodes we make are) the silicone lube will bond to the silicone electrode and eventually destroy its conductivity.
We do sell our Sensual Lube, which is silicone based, with the Samurai but you must make sure to not use it with the Electro-Flex toys. It can be used with the acrylics.
We also strongly warn against petroleum lubes such as Vasoline. And you should also avoid mineral oil based lubricants such as Baby Oil. Neither is good for the electrodes or electro stimulation.
With all the urethral electrodes, we strongly encourage the use of sterile lubricants such as Surgilube. Basically, you want to look for water-based lubes that advertise sterile packaging for this activity.
As to when to apply lubricant, typically you apply your lubricant prior to application of the electrode. The only exception to this rule of thumb is the Tubular Base Ring and the Tubular Mid Ring. Now this is if you open them to apply them. If you merely slip them on, then you should lube up prior to application. If you open them to apply them, then you want to lube up after application in order to make it easier for you to close the ring back up.
Does this all make sense?
If you have any other questions or anyone has something to add, please feel free.
Later!
